Clinical Electives may be completed in virtually any area of medicine as practiced by physicians [MD or DO] physicians. Additional weeks in a core specialty as desired may also substitute for elective weeks.
Basic Medical Sciences Equivalent: This course sequence is based on a review of systems approach at the Graduate level of Instruction. Each lecture block covers Intensive instruction from embryology to clinical management, and provides excellent preparation approaching the USMLE exam sequence.
Each Review of Systems course includes topics of Embryology, Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Pathology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and Clinical Diagnosis and Management as applied to the specific organ system under discussion, all at a Graduate level of Instruction.
Part I of this program may be completed at the Main Campus. Includes Review of Inorganic and Organic chemistry as applied to medicine, medical physics and advanced imaging, biochemistry and nutrition, anatomy lecture topics, forensic pathology, advanced pharmacology and psychopharmacology and others, approximately 50 individual course selections to choose from.
